Hyatt Regency Kinabalu

Kinabalu International Hotel (KIH) was incorporated in 1974 and commenced operation in hotel business in August 1976. Sabah Economic Development Corporation (SEDCO) acquired shares in the company in 1977 and thereafter took over the majority shareholding from Syarikat Gaya Timber Sdn Bhd in 1979. State Government of Sabah later acquired 42.67% shares in the company in 1989, while SEDCO remains as the majority shareholder with a shareholding of 57.33%.
